WHY IT EXISTS
Marantz’s platform for large conventional immersive-audio systems where balanced analog connectivity remains central.

AV 10 can support layouts up to 9.4.6 and provides balanced outputs across the channel set, making it a natural partner for multi-channel power amplification.

It is a compelling choice when the brief asks for a sophisticated, feature-rich reference processor without moving into the software-defined architecture of Trinnov or the modular architecture of StormAudio.

SYSTEM THINKING
01Start with the speaker layout and subwoofer plan.
02Confirm the required analog, digital or network outputs.
03Establish room-correction and calibration requirements.
04Then match amplification, control and HDMI architecture.
SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
Reference Marantz, still conventional in the best sense

AV 10 takes the familiar analog processor architecture to 15.4 channels with balanced outputs across a large immersive layout.

Why this matters

It is a compelling alternative when the brief calls for a premium 9.4.6-style system but not software-defined routing or network audio.

ROOM / BASS OPTIMISATION

Room optimisation

Room correction sits alongside a broad HDMI and streaming feature set, while the four independent subwoofer channels make it useful for serious multi-sub systems.

WHERE IT FITS

When we would shortlist it

Large conventional dedicated cinemas using balanced multi-channel amplification and up to 15.4-channel processing.

Final suitability still depends on speaker count, subwoofer strategy, amplifier interface, HDMI requirements, rack design and the calibration workflow expected after installation.

MODEL-SPECIFIC DESIGN NOTES

A complete 15.4-channel analog control centre

AV 10 combines 15.4-channel processing with 17.4-channel XLR and RCA pre-outs, allowing flexible routing around four independently managed subwoofers. Seven HDMI inputs and three outputs support current 8K-class video, while HEOS adds a broad multi-room and streaming ecosystem.

Audyssey MultEQ XT32 is included; Dirac Live is an optional upgrade. That lets a project choose between an accessible commissioning path and a more advanced calibration workflow. AV 10 is a strong fit for a large conventional cinema using balanced multichannel amplifiers, but it is not intended to replace the flexible routing or network-audio architecture of the specialist 24- and 32-channel platforms.
