LS10 focuses on the processing features required for immersive cinema without the broader professional routing architecture of RS20i.
Fifteen balanced XLR outputs, Dirac Live and detailed per-channel EQ make it a serious separates processor even though its video platform belongs to the 4K/HDCP 2.2 generation.
LS10 provides fifteen balanced outputs, ten-band parametric EQ per channel and flexible high- and low-pass filtering. It also supports two subwoofers through its bass-management architecture.
That makes it straightforward to integrate with external power amplifiers while still retaining many of the manual tuning tools associated with Datasat’s cinema heritage.
Dirac Live complements the manual equalisation and delay system.
The processor supports Dirac Live room optimisation in addition to its own equalisation, crossover and delay tools.
For a current project, the acoustic capability should be weighed against HDMI age and the absence of the newer multi-sub and active-acoustics features found on more recent platforms.
