SP4
A fully assignable sixteen-channel immersive processor with balanced XLR outputs, Dirac Live support, flexible manual EQ and mature 4K HDMI connectivity.

SP4 supports sixteen fully assignable channels and more than one hundred speaker-layout possibilities, making it substantially more flexible than its simple channel count suggests.
The design can also repurpose unused primary-theatre channels for secondary zones, which reflects its origin as a highly configurable installation platform.
Sixteen balanced XLR outputs are standard, with an optional RCA board that duplicates the analog outputs. The HDMI architecture is 4K HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 rather than a modern 40/48Gbps 4K120 platform.
That distinction is important in 2026: the SP4 can still be a serious audio processor, but a project with current gaming or 8K/4K120 requirements may need external video switching or a different processor.
Dirac is one of several calibration paths.
SP4 can be calibrated with Dirac Live, Room EQ Wizard-assisted workflows or manual channel equalisation. Bryston also supports permanent monitoring microphone workflows for remote diagnostics.
The flexibility is valuable, but the final result still depends on careful crossover, bass-management and target-curve decisions rather than simply running an automated measurement.

When we would shortlist it
Existing Bryston systems where balanced analog connectivity and brand continuity matter.
