WHY IT EXISTS
The Altitude for rooms where the channel map stops being conventional.

Altitude32 is designed for large loudspeaker counts, multiple independent subwoofers, active crossovers and room layouts where fixed consumer channel maps become the limitation rather than the soundtrack format.

The platform can begin with smaller analog output configurations and expand through additional DAC/AES capacity, making it suitable for cinemas whose final architecture may evolve over time.

SYSTEM THINKING
01Start with the speaker layout and subwoofer plan.
02Confirm the required analog, digital or network outputs.
03Establish room-correction and calibration requirements.
04Then match amplification, control and HDMI architecture.
SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
High channel count is useful because outputs are consumed by more than Atmos labels.

Active crossover ways, bass arrays and additional surrounds can consume processor channels rapidly. Altitude32 allows the designer to budget outputs around the physical system instead of forcing every loudspeaker into a fixed pre-pro template.

Its extensive AES/EBU capability also creates hybrid digital paths without moving fully into the AoIP-first AltitudeCI architecture.

ROOM / BASS OPTIMISATION

The acoustic tools scale with the room.

Optimizer and Remapping remain central, while WaveForming can address larger front/rear subwoofer arrays and wider listening volumes.

The processor therefore becomes part of the room-engineering layer: loudspeaker geometry, subwoofer placement, crossover topology and calibration are designed as one system.

WHERE IT FITS

When we would shortlist it

Flagship private cinemas where twenty outputs are not enough.

Rooms using active crossover processing, large multi-subwoofer arrays or non-standard speaker layouts.

Projects that want high analog/AES channel counts and long-term expansion without adopting a primarily Dante-based rack.

REFERENCE SCALE

Altitude32 starts to make sense when the room stops being conventional.

Large loudspeaker layouts, multiple subwoofer arrays, active crossovers, unusual speaker geometry and multi-row coverage can consume channels quickly. Altitude32 is valuable because processing, routing and calibration scale together.

CHANNEL HEADROOM

Capacity is useful before every channel is physically occupied.

Additional outputs create room for independent subs, bi-amplified or actively crossed speakers, alternative layouts and future expansion without immediately replacing the processor.

MANUAL + AUTOMATED

Reference systems need both measurement and engineering judgement.

Optimizer provides a powerful acoustic foundation, while the platform still exposes the routing, target, crossover and bass-management tools required for deliberate commissioning.

LONG-LIFE PLATFORM

The value is partly in software continuity.

Major features such as WaveForming have arrived through software on existing Altitude hardware, which is unusually relevant in a category where HDMI and formats continue to evolve.

MODEL-SPECIFIC DESIGN NOTES

The platform for designs that genuinely exceed sixteen outputs

Altitude32 extends the software-defined Altitude architecture to large channel counts, complex bass arrays, active crossovers and bespoke routing. The value is not a prestige step above Altitude16; it is the ability to execute system topologies that cannot fit inside a sixteen-output analog platform.

Specify it only after the loudspeaker, subwoofer, crossover and output plan is drawn. That design work determines the required chassis configuration and avoids paying for capacity the room cannot use.
