Trinnov Optimizer vs Dirac vs ARC vs RoomPerfect

Room correction systems share the goal of improving the loudspeaker-room interaction, but they differ significantly in measurement philosophy, filters, bass tools and spatial control.

Trinnov Optimizer

A 3D measurement and optimisation platform with speaker remapping and, on supported systems, WaveForming for advanced low-frequency control.

Dirac Live / ART

A widely adopted correction ecosystem with sophisticated frequency/impulse correction and Active Room Treatment on supported processors.

ARC Genesis

Anthem’s measurement and target-curve platform, integrated tightly with AVM processors and designed to retain significant installer control.

RoomPerfect

Lyngdorf’s room-correction approach, built around room knowledge and a digital-first system architecture.

Room correction and speaker geometry are different problems

Most correction systems work primarily from acoustic measurements at listening positions. Trinnov adds a separate geometric layer by measuring where each loudspeaker physically sits in azimuth and elevation, enabling Remapping when placement is compromised.

Dirac is now a family of technologies

Dirac Live Room Correction, Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment are different layers. A processor that supports one does not automatically include the others.
