SDP-75
JBL Synthesis’s specialist high-channel-count processor, available in 16-, 24- and 32-channel configurations and built around Trinnov Optimizer technology for large Synthesis cinemas.

SDP-75 belongs in a different category from conventional consumer AV processors. Its strength is the ability to serve large, highly engineered systems with extensive routing and calibration requirements.
Its HDMI platform is older than current mainstream processors, so its relevance should be judged in the context of specialist system architecture rather than headline video specifications.
SDP-75 was developed with Trinnov and is available in high-channel-count configurations, with JBL/HARMAN target data integrated into its optimisation approach.
Its architecture belongs to the reference/custom-cinema world rather than the current mainstream HDMI race. The processor decision should therefore be made around the complete Synthesis system and video chain.

When we would shortlist it
Large JBL Synthesis or Revel systems where the specialist processing architecture is already part of the design brief.
Final suitability still depends on speaker count, subwoofer strategy, amplifier interface, HDMI requirements, rack design and the calibration workflow expected after installation.
A reference audio platform that needs a deliberate video plan
SDP-75 is available in 16-, 24- and 32-channel configurations, with 16 balanced analog outputs plus digital expansion options. Its Trinnov Optimizer implementation incorporates JBL Synthesis and Harman target data, which is most valuable when loudspeakers, amplification, acoustic design and calibration are specified as one Synthesis system.
The HDMI 2.0b platform provides seven inputs and two outputs but does not offer the 40Gbps HDMI 2.1 path found on newer processors. In a reference room this may be handled with a separate modern video-switching strategy; in a gaming-led installation it can be the deciding limitation. That trade-off should be resolved before equipment is ordered.
