Astral 16 is not a traditional processor-only product. Twelve amplifier channels are built into the chassis and four more channels are exposed as balanced XLR pre-outs.
That integrated architecture can be extremely elegant in a high-performance Focal installation, but it needs to be assessed differently from a pure processor such as StormAudio Core 16 or Trinnov Altitude16 because amplification strategy is already partly decided inside the product.
