IMMERSIVE AUDIO KNOWLEDGE

Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro and Auro-3D explained

Modern processors often support multiple immersive-audio formats, but the room layout and implementation matter more than collecting format logos.

Dolby Atmos

Object-based audio rendered to the configured speaker layout. Processor limits determine how many discrete outputs can be rendered.

DTS:X Pro

Extends DTS:X to much higher speaker counts on capable processors.

Auro-3D

A layer-based immersive format with its own speaker-layout logic and Auro-Matic upmixer.

IMAX Enhanced

Uses DTS-based immersive audio and certified processing paths on supported products.
