Anthem ARC Genesis explained

ARC Genesis is Anthem’s room-correction platform. Its strength is a practical measurement-and-target workflow that can be shaped by the calibrator rather than treated as a single automatic button.

Measurement positions

Multiple microphone positions are used to understand the listening region rather than optimising one point in isolation.

Target curves

The calibrator can shape the desired in-room response, correction range and bass behaviour. The target should reflect the loudspeakers and room rather than a generic flat line.

Subwoofer integration

On processors such as AVM 90, multiple subwoofer outputs allow a more deliberate bass workflow than a single shared LFE feed.

Correction should not replace acoustics

ARC can improve consistency and tonal balance, but it does not replace correct loudspeaker placement, treatment, sufficient output capability or isolation.

Where ARC fits

It is particularly compelling for premium residential cinemas that want sophisticated correction without moving into a PC-based 20–32-channel processor architecture.
